The University of Texas hosted a second annual Legacy of R.L. Moore Conference April 7th, 8th, and 9th, 1999. Held at the Alumni Center, the conference was a success, with many taped panel discussions and interviews.

R. D. Anderson is a Professor Emeritus at Louisiana State University, past President of the Mathematical Association of American, past Vice President of the American Mathematical Society, and currently, a Senior Consultant for Louisiana Systemic Initiatives Program.
Louis A. Beecherl, Jr. is past Chairman of the Board of Regents of the University of Texas. He has a family connection to R. L. Moore.
Jerry L. Bona holds a Chair in Applied Mathematics and Computation at the University of Texas.
